Howdy!
Well, we've finally got a new show coming up! Adam went on tour for a bit of the summer and strep throat decided to hang out with me for July. We're both running at 100% and ready for the next show!
Don't miss this shit.

Our Crimes: thwarting the commercial succubus, subversion of the corporate umbrella, delivering the masses from shrink wrapped media. Our Motives: to produce musical experiences that surprise the senses and excite the mind. Never a cover, always unique, typically untypical in intimate listening room environments. Welcome to the humble underground.

G O R I L L A M A N S E featured on KUT's Texas Music Matters!
Rain was falling harder than it had in almost a year. Folks traveled by car and bicycle to Bouldin Creek Cafe at 1 a.m. to hear three artists perform by candlelight. The night was amazing, the show incredible, the crowd fantastic.
The performers:
- Adam Kobetich - banjo player extraordanaire! Projects include Susquehanna Hat Company, Electric Mountain Rotten Apple Gang and more!
- Ralph White - guitar player, singer/songwriter of Precious Blood
- Shakey Graves - a singer/songwriter with lots of soul and suitcase full of percussion
We'd like to thank the owner of BCC, Leslie Martin, for serving up vegan blueberry pancakes that were DELICIOUS and letting a group of sopping wet musicians and listeners invade your restaurant in the middle of the night.
Thanks to everyone that came to the show. We're busily planning the March show and we'll post our performers and date as soon as we can.
Check out the piece on Texas Music Matters! Click the download link under the pic. Story starts at 27 minutes.

In the beginning...
...there was a candlelit living room, delicious tacos, and about 30 people sitting on the floor intently listening to a handful of songwriters.
The shows started small. We made a big ol' dinner for everyone and transformed our living room into a cozy listening space. The shows grew super fast. Before we knew it, more and more musicians were asking us to play and the audience kept expanding.
Here's a sampling of some of the rad performers that have played GorillaManse shows thus far:
* Nic Walker
* Jordan Moser
* Lex Land
* Robert Steel
* A Band Named Pluto
* Matt Burnett
* Dan Grissom (Some Say Leland, McMercy Family Band)
* DB Rouse
* Lige Williamson
* The Jake Levinson Band
* Susquehanna Hat Company
* Ralph White
* Darrin Kobetich
* Clint Niosi
* The Can Kickers
* Pine Hill Haints
* Dry River Yacht Club
* Trevor Smith (Asylum Street Spankers, The Bluegrass Outfit)
* THAT Damned Band
* The Inheritance
* Shakey Graves

Check out our feature piece on KUT!
A candlelit dining room afterhours. Blueberry pancakes. Three local musicians with one major thing in common: they were all either supporters or employees of Bouldin Creek Cafe.
I'd been talking to the owner of Bouldin Creek Cafe, Leslie Martin, for several months about throwing a guerilla style show in the middle of the night. She dug the idea, thankfully, and Adam and I agreed to make it our first official GorillaManse show after his return.
Three musicians played that night: Ralph White (Precious Blood), Adam Kobetich (Susquehanna Hat Company) and Shakey Graves.
It stormed like crazy. It was a pretty amazing thunderstorm, honestly. In the recordings from that night's sets you can hear the rain through the open windows and an occasional clap of thunder.
We had no idea that KUT had arrived with recording equipment and the intention of creating a story around the show. Big thanks to Haley Howle and Texas Music Matters for a great piece about GorillaManse and our good friend, Shakey Graves.
We hope you'll check out the show, 'cuz it's pretty great. Click "download". We're at the 27 minute mark.
